The problem

Getting a WordPress enquiry into Dynamics 365 usually means one of three bad options: paste data by hand, pay a per-task automation service that meters every record, or commission a custom integration you then have to maintain. All three leak data, cost more as you grow, and put your Dataverse credentials somewhere they shouldn't be.

The answer

Cordex Forms is a direct, secure bridge from your WordPress forms to Dataverse and Dynamics 365 CE. The free tier proves it on its own - a built-in form that creates a record on every submission, no other plugin required. Pro connects the forms you already built in WPForms, unlocks every Dataverse column type, and shows CRM records right on your own pages.

What you can do

Everything you need to turn form fills into CRM records

01

Capture the right data, first time

Map form fields to Dataverse columns from a controlled list - text, choice, number, date, yes/no out of the box, and on Pro the full set including Lookup, Customer and Owner. Mandatory columns are pre-selected so nothing invalid reaches CRM.

02

Use the forms you already have

Pro plugs into WPForms, so the forms you designed in the builder write straight to Dataverse - with live record lookups, file and image uploads, and multi-select choices.

03

Stop creating duplicates

De-duplication updates the matching record on a repeat submission instead of spawning a second one. Stamp constant values - a source, status or owner - onto columns with no form field.

04

Show your CRM on your site

On-site data grids display Dataverse records with search, sort and related master/detail views. On Business, design your own record pages - pick the fields, arrange them into section cards and rename any label - then let mapped users edit them inline. A portal experience on your own site, without a Power Pages licence.

05

Run it like a real project

Business connects multiple environments - dev, test, UAT, pre-prod, prod - and switches the active one in a click, so your ALM process doesn’t stop at the website.

06

Make it yours

Enterprise white-labels the whole plugin - your name, logo, tagline and support link - for the clients you deliver to.

07

Send documents to SharePoint

On Enterprise, file and image uploads land in the record's own SharePoint folder, in a structure you define, with per-form folder paths created automatically, instead of a Dataverse column.

08

Keep a full audit trail

Enterprise adds an append-only record of every submission, delivery, retry and configuration change, with a retention period you control, so you always know what happened and when.

09

Scan every upload for malware

On Enterprise, every uploaded file is virus-scanned before it is stored, through a built-in ClamAV adapter or your own scanner. Infected files are refused, and uploads fail closed if the scanner is unreachable.

How it works

From install to first record in minutes

1

Install the free plugin

Download Cordex Forms from WordPress.org and activate it on your site - signed, automatic updates included.

2

Connect Dataverse

Point the plugin at your Entra ID app registration. Tokens are acquired and cached server-side; secrets never reach the browser.

3

Map your fields

Match each form field to a Dataverse column from a controlled list. Mandatory columns are pre-selected for you.

4

Submit → record

Publish the form. The next submission is a record in Dynamics 365 - with consent stamped and delivery guaranteed.

WPForms integration

The forms you already built, now writing to Dataverse

On Pro, Cordex Forms adds a settings panel right inside the WPForms builder. Keep designing forms the way you always have - then, on the Cordex Forms tab, pick your Dataverse table and map each field to a column. No rebuilding, no export/import.

  • A Cordex Forms tab in the WPForms builder - map fields without leaving the form.
  • Every Dataverse column type, including Lookup, File & Image and multi-select choice.
  • Live record lookups let visitors search and pick real Dataverse records.
  • De-duplication and default column values applied per form.

See your whole Dataverse integration on one screen

Every form, grid and record page on your site, the Dataverse table it touches and the environment it targets, laid out as one live source-to-target map, right down to the field-level column mapping. Open it and you can see, at a glance, exactly what is wired to what.

  • Colour-coded by direction, writes to Dataverse in indigo, reads in teal.
  • A live connection health check on every environment, Connected or Unreachable, on the map.
  • Any form a required premium column would block is flagged, with the reason.
  • On Business, point each component at its own environment and see all five, dev to prod, side by side.

Built secure, by default

Security-first - because you're connecting your customer database

Every design decision starts from the assumption that the thing on the other end of the pipe is your most sensitive data. Here's how Cordex Forms protects it.

Credentials never leave the server

Tokens are acquired and cached server-side against Microsoft Entra ID; secrets are encrypted at rest and never rendered to the browser.

Only mapped data reaches CRM

Field mapping runs off a server-side allowlist - arbitrary or injected fields are dropped and logged.

No submission is lost

Failed writes are encrypted, queued and retried with backoff; a repeat delivery can’t create a second record.

Consent & privacy are first-class

A required, versioned consent checkbox is stamped on every record, with WordPress export and erasure hooks for data-subject requests.

Abuse is handled quietly

Silent bot traps, submission-timing checks and per-IP rate limiting are on by default.

Open where it counts

The free core is GPL on WordPress.org with signed updates; the Pro add-on ships as a signed, integrity-verified package.

Setup guide

Install and connect your first form

A quick walkthrough from a fresh WordPress site to a live record in Dynamics 365. The full documentation ships with the plugin.

1

Install Cordex Forms

From your WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New, search for "Cordex Forms", install and activate. Or download it directly from WordPress.org.

2

Register an Entra ID app

Create an app registration in Microsoft Entra ID with Dataverse permissions, then add its client ID and secret in Cordex Forms → Settings. Credentials are encrypted server-side.

3

Choose your Dataverse table

Select the table new records should land in (e.g. Leads or Contacts). Cordex Forms reads the schema and lists every available column.

4

Map form fields to columns

Drag each form field onto a Dataverse column. Mandatory columns are pre-selected, and you can stamp default values on columns with no matching field.

5

Add the form & test

Drop the Cordex Forms block (or connect a WPForms form on Pro) onto a page, submit a test entry, and confirm the record appears in Dynamics 365.

Support & troubleshooting

Common questions when something isn't right

A submission didn’t appear in Dynamics 365+
Cordex Forms never drops data. Failed writes are encrypted, queued and retried automatically with backoff - check Cordex Forms → Delivery queue to see pending or retrying items. If Dataverse was briefly unavailable, the record delivers on its own once the connection recovers.
I’m getting authentication errors+
Confirm your Entra ID app registration still has valid Dataverse permissions and that the client secret hasn’t expired. Re-enter the secret in Cordex Forms → Settings; tokens are re-acquired server-side on the next request.
A field isn’t reaching CRM+
Field mapping runs off a server-side allowlist - only mapped columns are sent, and anything unmapped is dropped and logged. Open the mapping screen and confirm the field is mapped to a valid Dataverse column.
Records are being duplicated+
Enable de-duplication (Pro) and pick the matching column. Repeat submissions then update the existing record instead of creating a new one, and queued retries can never create a second record.
Which plan unlocks a specific feature?+
See the plan comparison above - WPForms, premium column types, lookups and front-end grids are Pro; the environment map, multi-environment ALM, per-component targeting and on-page record editing are Business; white-labelling, the audit trail, SharePoint documents and upload malware scanning are Enterprise.
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Zapier, Make or Power Automate?+
No. Cordex Forms talks to Dataverse directly. There’s no automation subscription in the middle and no per-record charge.
Where do my Dynamics credentials live?+
On your server, encrypted. They’re used to obtain a token server-side and are never sent to the browser or stored in plain text.
What happens if Dataverse is unavailable when someone submits?+
The submission is accepted, encrypted and queued, then delivered automatically when the connection recovers - and a retry can never create a duplicate record.
How do I see everything that's connected to Dataverse?+
Open the Environment map (Business and Enterprise). It lays out every form, grid and record page as a live source-to-target diagram - the Dataverse table each one touches, the environment it targets and its field-level column mapping - colour-coded by writes and reads, with a live connection-health check on each environment. Point each component at its own environment and see all five, dev to prod, side by side.
Is the free Lite tier limited-time or crippled?+
The Lite tier is free forever and includes the complete submission-to-Dataverse pipeline with no site or form limits and no licence checks in its code - the encrypted delivery queue, privacy controls and versioned consent. Pro adds WPForms and every premium column type; Business and Enterprise add scale, multi-environment ALM, audit trail, SharePoint storage and white-labelling.
Can I move a licence between sites?+
Yes - deactivate on one site and activate on another within your plan’s site allowance.
How is this different from Microsoft Power Pages?+
Power Pages is a separate portal product with its own per-user or per-login licensing and its own site to build and maintain. Cordex Forms turns the WordPress site you already run into the front end for Dataverse - capture, display and (on Business) edit records right on your existing pages, without standing up a portal or paying portal licence fees.
Does it work with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement?+
Yes. Cordex Forms targets Microsoft Dataverse and Dynamics 365 CE.
