Every Dynamics 365 record, as a live map of everything connected to it.

Cordex Relationship Map turns any Dataverse record into an interactive picture of the related records, the people around it, the organisation behind it and the health of each - so a user sees the whole situation at a glance and acts on it without leaving the form.

The problem

Understanding an account, case or work order in Dynamics 365 means opening subgrid after subgrid, scrolling timelines and clicking through lookups - and the picture that matters most, who is connected to whom and who really sways the decision, isn't stored anywhere at all. Relationship-mapping add-ons that do exist tend to send your data to a hosted service and charge per user.

The answer

Cordex Relationship Map adds a tab to the tables you choose and draws the record's real Dataverse relationships as a live, colour-coded map - health on every circle, stakeholder roles and influence lines on every person, and Cordex AI to read it back in plain words. It installs as a solution, runs entirely inside your environment, and is licensed flat per organisation.

What you can see

Everything connected to a record, and what to do about it

01

A live map of real relationships

The record's direct Dataverse relationships, drawn radially - lookups it points to, records that point back, and many-to-many links - each edge styled and coloured by kind. Group circles collapse a set of related records; click to open them, expand by N levels, or re-centre on any circle.

02

Health on every circle

Every record is coloured Healthy, Stale or At risk by how recently it was touched, against thresholds you set per profile. The header tallies the mix - 8 healthy · 4 stale · 3 at risk - so the state of an account is visible without reading a single circle.

03

Stakeholders, sentiment & influence

Tag each person's role - Decision maker, Champion, Blocker - and sentiment, then drag one circle onto another to draw who sways whom. A coverage chip in the header shows whether the buying committee, case contacts or site contacts are actually covered. Tier 02 - Intelligence.

04

Eight views of the same record

Map, Related colleagues, External reach, Org chart, Estate, Who knows whom, Hierarchy and the Health map - each answers a different question, from "who inside our organisation can reach this record" to "how big is this account's world".

05

Cordex AI, only when you ask

An account or case brief, plain-language Q&A and next best actions, read from the map. Bring your own Claude or Azure OpenAI key, or use a key-free in-tenant flow. Keys are AES-256 encrypted in Dataverse, and the provider is only ever called on a question. Tier 03 - AI Enablement.

06

Adapts to the table it opens on

Sales language on an Opportunity, case contacts on an Incident, site contacts on a Work Order, key contacts on a Campaign - detected automatically from the table, overridable per profile, with neutral wording for custom tables.

07

Act from the map

Quick-create activities and notes, relate records over any relationship kind through a built-in searchable record picker that queries the target table as the signed-in user, and run on-demand workflows or mapped Power Automate flows - all gated by the user's own Dataverse privileges. Off by default until an administrator turns Actions on.

08

Configuration is data

Administrators build a profile per table in Studio - relationships, filters built without typing OData, thresholds, colours, actions, AI and access - saved as JSON in a Dataverse table. No code deployment; open maps pick changes up on refresh.

09

Take it to the meeting

Export the map as a high-resolution PNG, a CSV with the full relationship context, a print-ready PDF or a ready-made PowerPoint slide. Full-screen cinema mode lifts the map above the host chrome for wall displays.

How it works

From solution import to first map in an afternoon

1

Import the solution

A managed or unmanaged Dataverse solution - self-contained web resources plus a small PCF control. Nothing to host, no external service to stand up.

2

Assign the two roles

Cordex Relationship Map User for people who read the map, Cordex Relationship Map Administrator for the people who configure it.

3

Build a profile in Studio

Pick the tables, include or exclude relationships, set health thresholds and colours, choose where the map is placed on the form. Or open a record and let the sensible default do the first pass.

4

Open a record → map

The Cordex Relationship Map tab opens centred on the record. The 30-day trial unlocks the full Tier 03 - AI Enablement tier; activate a licence key from the version badge when you're ready.

Views

One record, eight questions answered

The VIEW dropdown changes how the same record is drawn. The Who knows whom view is the relationship-mapping heart of the product - a person-to-person graph with avatars, connections, influence lines and shared context, independent of the record hierarchy. It uses a force-directed layout so the people settle into a compact web, and Expand adds only the people around a person (not records), keeping the map readable.

  • Related colleagues - who inside your organisation can already reach this record: owner, teams and anyone who has worked an activity against it.
  • Org chart - business units › teams › users, or every security role and who holds it, with system accounts hidden by default.
  • Health map - a filterable, sortable board of the same people and organisations by status, with count tiles and distribution charts. Filter to Health is At risk and work the list.
  • Dashboard - Me - the same map opened on you: your own reach across the organisation.

The map, read back to you in plain words

The ✨ panel writes an account or case brief from the current map, answers questions about it, and suggests next best actions. It remembers the conversation until you clear it, and it calls the provider only when a user asks - never in the background, never on page load.

  • Your provider, your key. Claude (Anthropic), Azure OpenAI, or a key-free in-tenant flow for organisations that block direct external AI - with a ready-made AI Helper Flow that also reaches OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry, xAI Grok and Google Gemini.
  • Full system access is off by default. On, the AI may run read-only Dataverse queries as the signed-in user - their security roles are the ceiling and nothing is ever written.
  • Sentiment trend for contacts, leads and customer accounts, saved as dated points so a trend builds over time - with a separate, deliberate opt-in before any internal person is measured.
  • White-space & risk card computed entirely in the browser, on every tier, with no AI call.
✨ Cordex AI · Brief Claude · Sales focus

Contoso Ltd - account brief. 12 contacts, 3 open opportunities (2 stale), 2 at-risk cases. Decision maker Mia Chen is tagged Positive and improving; she is swayed by the Parent-account CFO, who is not yet on the map.

White space. No Champion tagged. No activity against the Parent account in 41 days.

Next best actions. 1 · Book a call with the CFO and relate them to the account. 2 · Re-open the two stale opportunities before month end. 3 · Assign an owner to case #1042.

Built secure, by default

Privacy-first - because it's drawing your customer relationships

The map reads your most sensitive data - who your customers are, who talks to whom, how they feel about you. So it runs where that data already lives, and every switch that widens data egress is off until an administrator turns it on.

Nothing leaves your environment

Self-contained web resources and a PCF control inside Dataverse. No external services are required for the map itself, and nothing is sent anywhere unless a user explicitly asks Cordex AI a question.

Dataverse security is the ceiling

Every read and every action runs as the signed-in user through the Web API - including the in-map record picker. The map never shows a record the user could not open themselves.

AI keys encrypted, never in clear text

Provider keys are stored AES-256 encrypted in the Cordex Relationship Map AI Keys table; clear text never touches Dataverse. Self-serve keys can be opened to all or restricted to named users and teams.

Read-only until you say otherwise

Actions, full system access, sentiment trend and every AI trigger are off by default. Each is a deliberate, per-profile switch - and measuring internal staff is a separate opt-in of its own.

Fail-closed access gate

Per table, open the map to all users, to administrators only, or switch it off entirely. The check is fail-closed, so content never flashes to someone who shouldn't see it - and admins are matched by role template, so it holds in any language.

A permissions problem never bricks a form

If the licence table can't be read the map falls back to read-only instead of failing. System and integration accounts stay out of the org chart unless you choose to audit them.

Who it's for

Built for the people who work a record, not just read it

Account managers

See the buying committee, who sways whom, and what's gone stale - before the call, not after it.

Case workers & dispatchers

Case contacts, site contacts and everyone already involved, in the words of service and field service - not sales.

Sales & service leaders

Open the Health map before a review, filter to At risk or Negative sentiment, and work the list. Export the slide.

Administrators & architects

One managed solution, configuration as data, fail-closed access gates and an AI compliance checklist you actually control.

Setup guide

Install and open your first map

A quick walkthrough from solution import to a live map on a record. The complete feature guide and the administration guide cover every setting.

1

Import the solution

Import the Cordex Relationship Map solution (managed for production, unmanaged for a dev environment) into your Dataverse environment and publish all customisations.

2

Assign security roles

Give map users the Cordex Relationship Map User role and your configurators the Cordex Relationship Map Administrator role. If you will use the sentiment trend, grant the roles Create/Read on the Sentiment table.

3

Build a profile in Studio

Open a record, press ⚙ (administrators only) to open Studio, and create a profile for the table: relationships to include, per-table filters, stale and at-risk thresholds, appearance, actions, and where on the form the map is placed.

4

Activate the trial or a licence key

Click the version badge in the map header and paste your key. The 30-day trial unlocks the full Tier 03 - AI Enablement tier; the licence row is stored encrypted in Dataverse and the current tier shows in the header.

5

Open a record and read the map

The Cordex Relationship Map tab opens centred on the record. Switch views, click a circle for its inspector, tag your first stakeholder - and, on Tier 03 - AI Enablement, connect a provider under Studio › Cordex AI and ask for a brief (step by step in the AI setup guide).

Support & troubleshooting

Common questions when something isn't right

The map is blank or shows a locked veil+
There is no active licence, or Map access is set to Off or administrators-only for that table. Activate a key from the version badge, or check Studio › Administration › Map access.
I can't see the ⚙ settings button+
It appears only for System Administrator, System Customizer or the Cordex Administrator role. Admin is matched by role template id, so it resolves in any language - ask an administrator to grant the role.
Cordex AI says it needs a key+
No organisation key is saved and self-serve credentials are restricted. Add an org key in Studio › Cordex AI, use the 🔑 button in the panel to paste your own (browser only), or ask to be added to the self-serve list. Key resolution order and every provider's setup are in the AI setup guide.
"Assess now" fails to save a sentiment point+
A new custom table has no privileges until you add them. Grant the Cordex roles Create/Read on the Cordex Relationship Map Sentiment table.
System accounts are cluttering the org chart+
Turn Show system accounts off in Studio › Administration - it is off by default. Application users, integration users and system-managed teams then stay out of the Org chart and Related colleagues views.
The version in the map header doesn't match what I imported+
You are on a cached copy of the web resources. Publish all customisations, then hard-refresh the form. The map badge and Studio both show the running version.
Which tier unlocks a specific feature?+
See the tier comparison above - maps, views, health, exports and actions are Tier 01 - Foundation; stakeholder tags, influence lines, engagement scoring, saved layouts and PowerPoint export are Tier 02 - Intelligence; Cordex AI, all providers, full-system-access queries and the sentiment trend are Tier 03 - AI Enablement. The header shows your current tier, e.g. viewer v4.5.76 · Tier 03 - AI Enablement (Trial).
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does the map send my data anywhere?+
No. The map is a set of self-contained web resources and a small PCF control that run inside your Dataverse environment. No external services are required for the map itself, and nothing is sent anywhere unless a user explicitly asks Cordex AI a question.
Which tables can I open the map on?+
Any table. An administrator builds a profile per table in Studio and places the map as a tab on the form or as a dashboard. The map auto-detects sales, customer service, field service, marketing and custom tables and adapts its language to each.
How is it licensed?+
Flat per organisation, by seat band - there is no per-user metering and no minimum user count. Tier 01 - Foundation starts at USD 35, Tier 02 - Intelligence at USD 70 and Tier 03 - AI Enablement at USD 125 per organisation per month, billed annually. Seat bands are measured on the term's high-water mark of enabled users holding a Cordex role. Every subscription includes two free non-production environments. Upgrades are pro-rated; downgrades take effect at renewal. A 30-day trial grants the full Tier 03 - AI Enablement tier.
Which AI providers does Cordex AI support?+
Claude (Anthropic), Azure OpenAI, or a key-free in-tenant flow for organisations that block direct external AI. Keys resolve in order - the user's own encrypted key, the organisation key, then a key pasted into the panel - and are stored AES-256 encrypted in Dataverse. The model and deployment lists are live lookups of what your key can actually use.
Can users change records from the map?+
Only if an administrator turns Actions on for the profile. Actions are off by default, so the map is read-only until you decide otherwise - and every action still runs through the user's own Dataverse privileges - the record picker queries the target table as the signed-in user - so security behaves exactly as it does elsewhere.
Where are stakeholder tags and influence lines stored?+
In Dataverse tables that ship with the solution - Cordex Relationship Map Stakeholder, Influence, Sentiment, Config, AI Keys and Licenses. Stored role values stay standard even when the labels adapt to a domain, so reporting is comparable across profiles.
Does it work with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement?+
Yes. Cordex Relationship Map installs as a managed or unmanaged solution into Microsoft Dataverse and works with Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Marketing, and any custom table.
