Cordex-Reference Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your installation and use of Cordex-Reference, the free Microsoft Dataverse solution that shows Cordex Terminology API reference data as read-only virtual tables. They apply in addition to our general Terms & Conditions.

Last updated  13 October 2026 Effective  13 October 2026 Version  1.0

Please read these Cordex-Reference Terms & Conditions (Reference Terms) carefully. By installing or using Cordex-Reference, you agree to be bound by these Reference Terms and our general Terms & Conditions. If there is any inconsistency for matters specific to Cordex-Reference, these Reference Terms prevail. Your Cordex Terminology API plan is governed by the Cordex-Terminology Terms & Conditions.

Acceptance

These Reference Terms apply to every installation of Cordex-Reference. If you accept them on behalf of an organisation, you warrant that you have authority to bind it, and "you" includes that organisation.

The product

Cordex-Reference is a managed solution for Microsoft Dataverse. It adds read-only virtual tables, a data provider plug-in, a model-driven app, an administration page and in-app guides to your environment. The tables show reference data served live from the Cordex Terminology API. No reference data is stored in your Dataverse database.

Licence

Cordex-Reference is licensed, not sold. The solution is free. Subject to compliance with these terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the managed solution in Dataverse environments you control, for your own internal business purposes.

Access to data

The tables return data only with a valid Cordex Terminology API licence key. Your API plan decides which tables return data and your calls per minute. Your API plan, its fees, limits, trial, renewal and cancellation are governed by the Cordex-Terminology Terms & Conditions, not these terms.

  • One environment can hold several keys, one per plan. Where two keys cover a table, the higher plan applies.
  • One seat covers one environment, for example production or UAT.
  • All users in an environment share that key's calls per minute.
  • A cancelled or revoked key stops returning data on the next call.

Licence keys

Your licence key is stored in your environment and is not included in solution exports. You are responsible for keeping it confidential and for who can administer it in your environment. Tell us promptly if you believe a key has been exposed so we can revoke and reissue it.

Third-party content

The reference data shown in Cordex-Reference tables is owned by third parties and is supplied through the Cordex Terminology API under their licences. You must comply with those licences, including the SNOMED CT, LOINC, CPT and other conditions, and keep the required notices. The full list of licences and attributions is in the Cordex-Terminology Terms.

Accuracy & clinical use

Data is shown as published by its source in the approved release served by the API. Cordex-Reference is a reference tool. It does not give clinical, legal or other professional advice, and you remain responsible for decisions made using the data, including checking that a code is suitable for its purpose.

Your environment

You are responsible for your Microsoft Dataverse, Dynamics 365 or Power Apps licences, which are paid separately to Microsoft, and for the security roles that control who can see the tables and the administration page. The plug-in runs in your environment and calls the Cordex Terminology API over HTTPS. Permanent filters and views you create are your configuration.

Data handling

Cordex-Reference sends the queries your users make, such as searches, filters and record IDs, together with your licence key, to the Cordex Terminology API to answer them. It does not send records from your other tables. How we handle API requests and personal information is described in the Cordex-Terminology Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Use restrictions

You must not, and must not permit anyone to:

  • use the Product to obtain data beyond the entitlements of your API plan, or circumvent licence, seat or rate limits;
  • bulk-copy data from the virtual tables into other tables or systems to avoid API licensing;
  • copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent permitted by law;
  • resell, rent, sub-license, white-label or make the Product available to third parties, except as expressly agreed in writing;
  • use the Product in breach of any law, third-party right or professional obligation; or
  • introduce malware, probe or load-test our systems without written permission, or interfere with their integrity or performance.

Support

Support is by email. It covers the Cordex-Reference solution as supplied; it does not extend to your environment, customisations or third-party software.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the Product, including the solution, plug-in, app, documentation, branding and updates, are and remain owned by us or our licensors. Third-party reference data remains owned by its licensors. Except for the limited licence in these terms, no rights are transferred. You retain all rights in your own data.

Warranties

Subject to the Australian Consumer Law and the general Terms, the Product is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every environment or purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes any consumer guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Liability

The limitation of liability, indemnity and Professional Standards provisions in our general Terms apply. Because the solution is free, to the extent permitted by law our total aggregate liability in connection with Cordex-Reference is limited to AUD 100. Liability for the Cordex Terminology API is governed by the Cordex-Terminology Terms.

Termination

You may stop using Cordex-Reference at any time by uninstalling the solution. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms and do not remedy the breach within a reasonable time after notice, or immediately where required to protect the service or third-party licensors. Ending your API plan stops the tables returning data but does not remove the solution.

Changes

We may update these terms and the solution from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, regardless of where you are located or where the Products or Services are used. Each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland, the federal courts of Australia sitting in Queensland, and the courts that can hear appeals from them. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
